CBHE RECOMMENDED CURRICULUM
The College Board of Higher Education (CBHE) Recommended Core Curriculum includes the following areas of study to meet college admission course criteria.
Weighted GPA
Current students in the Class of 2024, 2025, and 2026, will be granted a weighted GPA based on certain coursework completed throughout high school. This weighted GPA will only be provided to colleges and universities to assist in scholarship/admission consideration. All Liberty Public School academic honors/awards will continue to be based on a student's unweighted GPA. For a list of courses that will earn additional GPA points towards a weighted GPA click HERE.
A committee will be meeting to investigate the benefits and drawbacks of using weighted GPA's for academic honors/awards for future graduating classes in order to make a proposal to the School Board on how to move forward.
NOTE: The Weighted GPA is not used as a determining factor for these LPS awards.
